You’ll walk about Black Rock City,  site of the Burning Man festival, and try your best to re-create  some photos.  Identify the landmarks in the photos, find the right place to stand, and choose just the right angle.

The city layout, camps, and landmarks are all procedurally generated.

It’s a first-person shooter in which you shoot photos.

“The Trials” and “I Wish I Were The Moon”

The Trials and I Wish I Were The Moon (Daniel Benmergui, 2008) are two online games developed in Flash, part of the Moon Stories Trilogy.

They implement two slightly different picture taking mechanics through an interface that looks like a magic camera, able to copy-paste an image (The Trails) or cut-and-paste it(I Wish I were the Moon).

WE BECOME WHAT WE BEHOLD

WE BECOME WHAT WE BEHOLD (Nicky Case,  2016) is an online game on photographic media and how images affects our perceptions and shape our behaviours and society.

The only photographic function that can be controlled is framing (point & click), before taking a picture. A picture is then automatically “distributed” on the main square’s media channel with an added caption that “interprets” the action portrayed in the image.
